Weather Spotters Class Set for April 19

Local citizens wishing to receive training as an official severe weather spotter for the U.S. Weather Service may do so later this month.

A Weather Spotters Class will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, at Fayette Fire Station No. 1 on West Morrison. There is no charge.

The class is sponsored by Howard County Emergency Management and the U.S. Weather Bureau Pleasant Hill Office.

During severe weather, spotters provide valuable information to law enforcement agencies and the weather bureau.
