The Boonesboro Cemetery Association held its annual meeting on March 10, electing new officers and approving bylaw amendments.
Elected to the board were Ethan Shipp as president, Kevin Hollowell as vice president, and Shara Meyer as reporter. They join continuing members Julie Davis, secretary; Madison Bishop, treasurer; and Peggy Johnson, historian.
The association also presented and approved amendments to its bylaws.
Individuals interested in purchasing a cemetery plot should contact Ethan Shipp at (660) 621-4594. Those who have already purchased plots are asked to send a copy of their purchase deeds to Shipp, who can be reached by email at fordpulleres@gmail.com.
Volunteers are needed to work shifts during Memorial Day weekend. Anyone interested should contact Shipp to indicate preferred dates and times.
The next board meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on June 9 at Boonesboro Christian Church.
The association’s annual fall festival is scheduled for Oct. 3. Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars.
