Classic Car Show Returns to the Fayette Festival of the Arts on Aug. 1
The classic car show returns to downtown Fayette on Saturday, August 1, as part of the Fayette Festival of the Arts.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the north side of the square on Davis Street. Sponsored by Community Auto Sales and Service, it will feature automotive history as owners display vehicles ranging from restored classics to survivor cars that have stood the test of time.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet owners, learn about their vehicles, and vote for their favorite in the People’s Choice competition.
Trophies will be awarded in the categories of 1970s and Before, 1970s and Up, Survivor, and People’s Choice. Space is limited. Vehicle owners interested in displaying their cars can preregister online at www.fayettefestival.org/car.html or in person at Community Auto Sales and Service, 306 S. Church Street in Fayette.
Admission to both the show and the Fayette Festival of the Arts is free.
The Classic Car Show is just one part of a full day of entertainment and activities. Festival attendees can also enjoy live music, food vendors, children’s activities, a cake auction, the 25th Annual Fayette Art Show, a quilt show, and a variety of family-friendly attractions on or near the courthouse square.
