CMU athletics enshrines latest class into Hairston Hall of Fame

Posted

The Central Methodist Department of Athletics inducted the 2025-26 Hairston Hall of Fame class during an enshrinement ceremony on Saturday. The new class was also recognized during the home basketball games.

This year’s individual Hall of Fame inductees includes Dan Schmidlin (Women’s Soccer Coach), Mark and Rebecca Harbison of Fayette (Athletic Contributors), Drew Greiwe (‘13 - Baseball), Stephanie (Sullivant) Kleyh (‘11 - Softball), Jeff Blauvelt (‘09 - Men’s Basketball), and Morgan (Vetter) Grosse (‘15 - Women’s Basketball). The 2018 and 2019 men’s soccer teams, which won the school’s first pair of NAIA National Championships, coached by Hall of Famer Alex Nichols, were also inducted.

The Hairston Hall of Fame was established in 1983 through a gift from William L. Hairston, a 1933 graduate of Central College (now Central Methodist University). The Hall of Fame honors the outstanding accomplishments of CMU athletes, coaches, administrators, and teams and recognizes significant contributions to the University’s athletics programs.
