Coyote Hill Foster Care celebrates 35 years with Family BBQ

Posted

Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries in Harrisburg invites the community to its annual Family BBQ from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at the Coyote Hill Foster Care Neighborhood, located at 9501 W. Coyote Hill Road in Harrisburg.

The Family BBQ is a free event for foster and adoptive families, community supporters, volunteers, and anyone interested in learning more about Coyote Hill’s mission. Guests can enjoy dinner, hayrides, pony rides, games, home tours, fireworks, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening. The event serves as both a celebration of the organization’s impact and an opportunity to celebrate with the community that has supported Coyote Hill’s mission for the past 35 years.

“The Family BBQ is one of my favorite events of the year because it brings together so many people who care deeply about children and families,” said event manager Linley Stockman. “Whether you’re a longtime supporter or visiting for the first time, we want everyone to feel welcome and leave encouraged by the impact our community is making together.”

Now in its fifth year, the Family BBQ has become a summer tradition for foster families, supporters, volunteers, and community partners. This year’s event carries special significance as Coyote Hill marks 35 years of providing a safe place for children impacted by foster care.

The Family BBQ is free to attend, but registration is encouraged. Community members interested in attending can learn more and RSVP at coyotehill.org/family-bbq.
