The Fayette Area Community Trust is accepting applications for grants to be awarded at the upcoming Fayette Area Community Trust Advisory Board meeting. Any tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization in the Fayette area may apply.
Organizations that have received grants in the past are welcome to apply again.
Applications should be completed and returned by Saturday, April 1. They may be picked up at Commercial Trust Company in Fayette, which serves as Trustee. Organizations may also request an application by e-mail by contacting Janet Jacobs at janet.jacobs@commercialtrust.com or by calling the bank at (660) 248-2222.
Since its establishment in 1991 by Dr. Robert and Mrs. Bertha Mae Barker, the Fayette Area Community Trust has grown to more than $1.8 million. Since then, it has awarded more than $1.6 million in grants to organizations in the Fayette community and Central Methodist University.
