Fayette native Quincy Moore will return to Fayette High School next week to speak to students. A 1992 graduate, he has turned his life story into a message of hope and healing that is reaching audiences across the country.
Moore will discuss his inspirational story that became the book, “F MY DAD: Overcoming the Anger, Rage, and Pain of Being Fatherless,” in a special presentation at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11.
While at FHS, Moore played basketball and was one of the best drum majors the Falcon Pride Band has ever had. He was a four-year student council member, a member of the drama club, and a member of the band. Now a professional motivational speaker and advocate for empowerment, Moore draws deeply from his own experiences growing up without a father. This early challenge shaped both his identity and his life’s mission.
After nearly 30 years without a relationship, he had an unexpected encounter with his father and discovered the life-changing power of forgiveness. That experience became the foundation of his work, inspiring others to find freedom and purpose through letting go of those who have caused past pain.
With more than 25 years of experience in the corporate world, Moore blends professional insight with heartfelt storytelling in his talks. His presentations, filled with relatable lessons, vivid metaphors, and practical tools, encourage audience members to break the stigma around fatherlessness and trauma while reminding them of their inherent worth.
As a keynote speaker, Moore challenges audiences to see themselves as their greatest asset and to embrace resilience through empathy and forgiveness. Beyond the stage, he remains committed to giving back, mentoring youth, partnering with local faith and community organizations, and continuing to learn how to better serve others.
“Moore’s journey reminds us that healing is possible,” said one local supporter. “He’s proof that forgiveness can transform not only one life but entire communities.”
