Glasgow senior reaches 1,500-point milestone

Posted

Glasgow High School senior basketball standout Jackson Meyer reached the rare milestone of scoring 1,500 career points. Upon posting his 26th point against Pilot Grove on Dec. 16, Meyer reached the 1,500-point mark. The Yellowjackets went on to win that game 77-38.

Glasgow coach Mick Cropp said Meyer started his career as an outside shooter but has harnessed his size the last two seasons to become a commanding player in the paint. “Jackson has continually gotten better each year of his high school career. He has become a truly dominant player for us, and we are excited to have a strong second half of the season with him leading us.”

The Jackets finished out 2025 with a 6-2 overall record and a third-place finish at their own tournament in early December. Their two losses were only by seven points or fewer, the second of which came in double overtime against county rival New Franklin.

Since then, Glasgow has won four straight games and will return to the court at the Salisbury Tournament starting Jan. 5.
