Howard County well represented at Farm Bureau convention

Just as members did nearly 100 years ago, leaders of the Howard County Farm Bureau attended the Missouri Farm Bureau annual meeting to discuss and approve legislative policies for the coming year. They also took part in celebrating the centennial meeting of the state’s largest farm organization. The occasion drew a record crowd of almost 1,500 members to Tan-Tar-A at Lake of the Ozarks Dec. 6-9. Past county Farm Bureau presidents and other leaders who have served the organization were invited toTessa Chambers and Charlie Ebbesmeyer, both of Howard County, were two of 22 contestants competing for the title of Missouri Farm Bureau (MFB) Ambassador during the organization’s 100th annual meeting December 7 at Lake of the Ozarks. Chamber’s parents are Doug and Susan Chambers. Ebbesmeyer’s parents are Karen and Jerry Ebbesmeyer. The contest is sponsored by the MFB Promotion and Education Program.
