The Fayette High School Homecoming Court was announced last week. Queen candidates are seniors Paige Vroman, Emma Hilgedick, and Kennady Vroman. King candidates are seniors Ledgyr Conrow, Colten Cross, and Brodi Tucker. Junior class attendants are Lily Hilgedick and Juluis Glimore. Sophomore class attendants are Jayden Barnhill and Kielin Pulliam. And freshman class attendants are Caroline Young and Liam Betts.

The 2026 King and Queen will be crowned at halftime of the high school football game on Friday night.

The returning King and Queen are Carter Vroman and Amaya Burchett. The crown bearers for this year’s coronation are Luna Chambers and Lennox Bentley.

This year’s theme is Cars: “Racing to Homecoming.”

High school classes will compete all week long in an array of activities. Dress-up day themes include “Pit Crew Day” (Athletic Wear), “Race Day” (Racing/Sports Jerseys) on Tuesday,  and “Lightning McQueen & Mater Day” (Country & Country Club) on Wednesday.  Thursday’s theme is “Route 66 Day” (Western/Country). Friday’s theme is “Ka-chow! Day,” when students and faculty will show their school spirit by all wearing black and gold.

All high school students will take part in class competitions during a pep rally Thursday afternoon. Friday starts with a BBQ tailgate and pep rally from 11 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. A Homecoming All Schools Assembly begins at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gym, where the Homecoming court will be recognized.

The annual Homecoming Parade will begin immediately following the assembly, around 2:30 p.m. All parade entries should meet in the back parking lot no later than 1:45 p.m. on Friday, with lineup scheduled for 2:15 p.m. The parade will leave from the school campus and make its way around the Fayette courthouse square.

As a reminder, school will be in session all day to help make up for days lost at the beginning of the school year after the start date was pushed back to complete flood restoration.

Fayette will kickoff against longtime rival Westran for Friday night’s football game at 7 p.m. The King and Queen will be crowned at halftime. The Homecoming dance will take place after the game.
