Louise “LouAnn” Noland

Rocheport, MO resident, Louise Ann Noland, age 69, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on July 30, 2026, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Louise was born on April 25, 1957, in Fayette, MO. She was the daughter and one of three children of Howard Denny and Mary Margaret Helen (Bechtold) Johnson of Fayette. She attended and graduated from Fayette High School. She earned the honor of valedictorian for her class of 1975. Following graduation, Louise was employed with both the Boone County and Howard County Assessor’s offices, where she worked as a mapper. She also worked as a secretary for a number of years for the University of Missouri Food and Science Department.

On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1986, Louise married the love of her life, James “Jim” Noland, in Boonville, MO. Together the couple has enjoyed over 40 years of marriage. Louise loved rescuing and taking special care of her cats. She also enjoyed feeding her hummingbirds and cardinals. Louise will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Noland; brother, Howard (Sandra) Johnson, Jr.; and six nieces and nephews: Sherri (Bruce) Williams, Shawn Johnson, Gannon Johnson, Lane (Jon) Staniland, Matthew Johnson, and Zachary Johnson. She is also survived by special friend Beverly Markland. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by a brother, John Walter “Johnny” Johnson.

A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Noland will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, MO. Visitation will be an hour before the service, starting at 10 a.m.
