Two local award-winning photographs from the Fayette Festival of the Arts were presented to Fayette Mayor Greg Stidham (center) during last week’s city council meet held on August 25, and will adorn the walls at Fayette City Hall. The festival last year instituted a Mayor’s Prize. Last year’s winner was Pat Hilgedick (right), whose photograph, “Sunset at City Park,” won the Fayette Gem Award. The 2026 winner is Tony Cook (left). His black-and-white photograph, “A Splash of Winter,” depicts the Fayette Swimming Pool during a snowy winter night.
