The P.E.O. Club, Chapter AU, in Fayette, has made a donation in the amount of $100 to the Fayette Holiday House. The donation was made during the club’s recent meeting held at the Thogmorton Center for Allied Health on the campus of Central Methodist University.
The Christmas Holiday House is presented annually under the auspices of the First Christian Church in Fayette. This year will mark the 23rd season for the project that distributes toys, games, art supplies, books, hats, and gloves to provide happy holiday celebrations for registered families.
The Christmas Holiday House accepts donations year-round. Distributions typically occur on the second Saturday in December. Registrations will take place at 1 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 16 at the First Baptist Church Education Building in Fayette.
Information regarding this year’s distribution will be forthcoming.
Once again, the Fayette Police Department will host a pork steak dinner to raise money for the Christmas Holiday House. This will be the third year in a row the police have held the fundraiser. The department will begin serving at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 3.
