The Fayette Rotary Club held a busy and engaging meeting on Wednesday, November 25. Members honored the Fayette High School Students of the Month for December and January, presented a Happy Can check, and enjoyed a program by members of the school’s Future Farmers of America chapter.
Because of illness and inclement weather, the Students of the Month were unable to attend meetings earlier in the year. Freshman Elizabeth Hutchison, sophomore Kadence Sulltrop, junior Sida Gregory, and senior Mark Schnieders were recognized as December Students of the Month. Honored for January were freshman Bergen Gregory, sophomore Carsyn John, junior Gracie Innes, and senior Nathan Bean, who was unable to attend. Each student shared a few words about themselves before Rotary President Eddie Campbell presented them with a certificate recognizing their achievement.
Campbell also presented a Happy Can check to Holiday House chairman Pat Hilgedick (above). Hilgedick, who has organized Holiday House for many years, explained its purpose and how it is carried out through the generosity of organizations and individuals, along with countless hours of volunteer service.
