To the Editor:

For those who are not yet aware, there is a new and growing coalition in Howard County called People for Constitutional Democracy.  The group is open to all those who feel that our constitution is being trampled on and that our democracy is slipping away.

Our mission is to uphold the U.S. Constitution, to work for liberty, government accountability, economic justice and to secure human rights for all people.

Some of the opportunities we offer to become involved in PCD include calling your elected officials to let them know how you feel; signing petitions to show your elected officials what you want; participating in peaceful protests on the Fayette square every Saturday morning; and promoting voter registration and voter education.  Recently, we organized a food drive for the Fayette Ministerial Alliance food pantry.  All of these actions help us to be more involved in our communities and work for the betterment of all.

PCD will meet again on Sunday, January 25 at 2:00 pm at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Fayette.  We welcome your support.
