Approximately a dozen young Howard County farmers joined more than 600 from the across the state February 10-12 at Margaritaville Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks for Missouri Farm Bureau's (MOFB) Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Leadership Conference.
Bryce Himmelberg, Ethan Vanderwert, Trace Chambers, Paden Boulden, Karissa Boulden, Lucas Wagy, and Lydia and Trevor Wagy were among those farmers between the ages of 18 and 35.
Attendees met their state YF&R committee members and others from their area. Educational sessions ranged from ways to fight inflation, to commodity markets, sprayer drones, and honey production. Children had their own sessions and a tractor pull.
More than 60 companies and individuals lend their support to the conference.
