The Central Methodist University Department of Athletics announced the 2023-24 Hairston Hall of Fame Class. This year’s class includes seven individuals and three teams.

The inductions will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27, on the fourth floor of the Inman Student and Community Center on campus. Inductees will also be recognized at halftime of the men’s basketball game versus Grand View, which tips off at 4 p.m.

This year’s individual Hall of Fame Class inductees include Rael Rotich (’10 - Volleyball), George Derrieux (’62 - Men’s Basketball), John Kurtz (’76 - Baseball/Football), Bill Lankford (’76 - Football/Baseball), David Stoll (’75 - Baseball/Football), Lucas Manring (’12 - Track & Field), and Holly Wade McMahon (’08 - Women’s Basketball).

The era of men’s basketball from 1942-45 will also be inducted.

Tickets cost $35 and include lunch and admission to the women’s and men’s basketball games against Grand View. Tickets for the event can be purchased at https://www.centralalumnievents.com.

More information on each inductee will be announced at a later date.

The Hairston Hall of Fame was established in 1983 through a gift from William L. Hairston, a 1933 graduate of Central College (now Central Methodist University). The Hall of Fame honors the outstanding accomplishments of CMU athletes, coaches, administrators, and teams and recognizes significant contributions to the University’s athletics program.
