Disagrees with Supreme Court

To the Editor:

Right and wrong.  Most any elementary school student knows the difference.  They would tell you that the January 6 rioters who attacked Congress as it was certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election were wrong.  And they would tell you that the president that incited that riot was wrong.

But the United States Supreme Court disagrees.  That court, led by six conservative political hacks, bought and paid for by Leonard Leo and his billionaire buddies at the Federalist Society, say no foul.  They twisted, denied and invented law to reach their opinion.  The president is immune from the crime.  The rioters may get off on a technicality.

This is as Franklin Roosevelt said in 1941, “a day that will live in infamy”.

It is as simple as that.  Six Supreme Court justices, appointed for life, accountable to none, have rewritten the Constitution.  They have trashed their oath to uphold the Constitution.  They, just as Donald Trump and the rioters on January 6, 2021, have committed treason.

Harsh words.  Desperate days.
