FHS Homecoming Friday Night

The Fayette High School Homecoming Court was announced last week. Queen candidates are seniors Hayden Sage, Cayle John, and Rylee Finley. King candidates are seniors Micah Estes, Thomas Elliott, and Camden Kindle. Junior class attendants are Ella Doolin and Karson Dodson. Sophomore class attendants are Kennady Vroman and Ledgyr Conrow. And freshman class attendants are Rylan Roberts and Ben Oeth.

The 2024 King and Queen will be announced during coronation at halftime of the football game on Friday night.

The returning King and Queen are Bryce Callahan and Kamryn Bentley. The crown bearers for this year’s coronation are Mirella Dezner and Liam Menees.

This year’s theme is Hunger: “The Homecoming Game,” based on The Hunger Games novels and movies.

High school classes will compete all week long in an array of activities. Dress-up day themes include Tribute Day (Camo) on Tuesday and Mockingjay Day (Twin Day) on Wednesday. Thursday is District Day, with classes dressing up in different categories based on The Hunger Games themes: Freshman: District 4 - Fishing, Sophomores: District 3 - Textiles, Juniors: District 7 - Lumberjacks, Seniors: District 11 - Agriculture, and Faculty and Staff: Capital. Friday’s school-wide theme is “Let the Games Begin.” Students and faculty will all wear black and gold.

All high school students will take part in class competitions during a pep rally Thursday afternoon. On Friday, a Homecoming All Schools Assembly begins at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gym where the the Homecoming court will be recognized.

The annual Homecoming Parade will begin immediately following the assembly, around 2:30 p.m. All parade entries should meet in the back parking lot no later than 1:45 p.m. on Friday. The parade will leave from the school campus and make its way around the Fayette courthouse square.

Fayette will kickoff against Central State 8 opponent Tipton for the Friday night football game at 7 p.m. The King and Queen will be crowned at halftime. The Homecoming dance will take place after the game.
