KatiJo Schaefer was crowned Queen of the Howard County Fair on Wednesday night last week, and Gracie Innes was crowned Teen Queen.

Schaefer is the daughter of Jessica and Greg Schaefer of Glasgow. Two years ago, she won the teen contest.

Inness is the daughter of Carrie Daniels and Edward Innes, Jr., of Fayette.

The two presided over fair events all week, handing out ribbons and trophies to winners of the livestock shows.

All contestants sat for interviews prior to the contest, then competed in the talent competition before a packed crowd.

Emily Adams was named first runner-up in the queen pageant. Schaefer won the trophy for best interview. Sabrina Strodtman was named second-runner up.

Stella Matyas was named Miss Congeniality, and was the second runner-up in the teen pageant. Molly Wies received the highest score in the talent portion after delivering a speech and was selected first-runner up.

Rhyan Hilderbrand, daughter of Baylee and Vince Hilderbrand, was crowned Fair Princess. First runner-up was Sutton Ploof, daughter of Emma and Cory Ploof.

The Fair Prince was Tripp Hustedde, son of Taylor and Chris Hustedde. The first runner-up was Jameson Frink, son of Cassie and Cody Frink.
