The Fayette Rotary Club will have a new President starting this week. During the club’s regular meeting on Wednesday, June 26, former President Greg Stidham turned the gavel over to Linda Lembke, who will lead the club over the next year.
Stidham also presented a Happy Can check for $100 to Chuck Thompson for Worldwide Mobility. Thompson, a Fayette Rotarian, is preparing the club’s Mobility Cart for display at the Worldwide Mobility Carts and Craft Beer fund raiser in Columbia later this summer. The cart will then be sent overseas to help someone in need.
Stidham then presented Bruce Crutcher with a Paul Harris certificate and pin as a new Paul Harris Fellow. Linda Lembke and Bruce Addison were also honored with plus pins. To be honored as a Paul Harris Fellow, a member must contribute a sum of at least $1,000 to Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund, Polio Plus, or an approved Foundation grant.
