Mo. Secretary of State visits Howard County Clerk

Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft visited with Howard County Clerk Shelly Howell on Thursday morning to discuss the upcoming primary and general elections, along with topics impacting Missouri communities. Secretary Ashcroft, who is also running for Governor of Missouri, made several stops that morning, also visiting clerks in Keytesville, Carrollton, and Marshall.

Absentee voting for the August primary began yesterday (Tuesday). No-excuse absentee voting begins on July 23 in the clerk’s office. The last day for the clerk to mail out an absentee ballot is July 24. The final day to register to vote in time for the August primary is July 10.
