A boil advisory will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, for parts of Fayette while a water line is replaced.
Residents on West Hackberry from Watts to Olive Street, Maple Street from Olive to Boyd, Gannet Street from Francis to West Depot, and Francis Street from Gannet to Maple Street will be without water, as will all of Olive Street and all of South Howard. Service is expected to be restored by 3 p.m.
Once water service returns, those areas will remain under a boil advisory until further notice. Residents should boil water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and making ice until officials lift the advisory.
