The City of Fayette is accepting sealed bids for mowing at D.C. Rogers Lake and the Fayette City Cemetery, as well as a lease of farmland near the wastewater treatment facility.
The city council gave unanimous approval to make agreements for the 70-acre hay field at D.C. Rogers and the 47-acre farmland lease for three years. In years prior, the bids were for one-year agreements. Bids for mowing the southeast corner of the Fayette City Cemetery continue to be accepted yearly.
The farmland lies near the wastewater treatment facility on Highway 240 on the south edge of town.
