All kids in grades Kindergarten through fourth are invited to check out Cub Scouts at Fayette City Park on Monday, September 12, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Archery, BB guns, and other games will be available so kids can get a taste of Scouting.
Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. Cub Scouting is a family-oriented program designed specifically to address the needs of younger boys and girls.
Leadership from the Council office will be on hand to answer questions, along with local leadership from Pack 62 based in Fayette. Kids from all neighboring towns are invited to attend. Connections with their local packs will be made if desired.
Membership in Scouting is open to all kids in grades Kindergarten through fourth, including homeschoolers.
Any questions about the local pack can be answered by telephoning Joy Flanders at (660) 248-1260, or by visiting BeAScout.org.
