The Fayette High School Falcon marching band swept all competition at the Southern Boone Marching Classic on Saturday in Ashland.
Fayette won first place in the street and field competitions, with the indoor color guard and indoor drum line both taking top honors. To top it off, the band was named Grand Champion after earning the highest combined field and parade scores out of all five classes.
Saturday’s event marked the final competition of the season for the full band. The indoor color guard and drum line will compete once more at Saturday’s City of Maples Marching Festival in Macon.
