The Fayette Rotary Club celebrated the 87th anniversary of the club’s first meeting during its regular meeting on August 20 in the Assembly Hall at Central Methodist University. As part of the celebration, the club honored three Rotarians who have been members for more than 40 years.
Club President Greg Stidham delivered a brief history of the club and presented framed certificates to longtime Rotarians Bruce Addison and Roger Lembke, who have been club members for 41 and 47 years, respectively. Dr. O. A. Robinson III, a 45-year club member, could not attend. Lembke talked about some of his experiences in the club and displayed some of the memorabilia he had collected during his time as a Rotarian.
