The Fayette Optimist Club needs more members.
The organization spends countless hours making life better for the youth of Fayette. Last year, the club spent more than $27,000 in support of youth programs here. Such projects include the Summer Rec program, youth football and cheerleading, the fishing derby, youth golf, blood drives, and annual scholarships.
The club will host an informational meeting at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall for anyone interested in becoming a member.
